“Occupied City” film screening draws big audience

More than 90 people joined us the The Little Theatre cinema on Sunday afternoon, 25th February, for our sponsorship of a special screening of “Occupied City”, a lengthy meditation on the occupation of Amsterdam during the Second World War.

We were able to tell more people – including several visitors from Bristol – about our work, and the history of our link.

Chairman Chris Davies, together with the Mayor of Bath, Cllr Dine Romero and author and translator, Aletta Stevens, spoke briefly at the beginning of the event – in the darkened Screen 1! – explaining how we in Bath are also a small part of the history.

A long film – 4hrs 20 minutes – but mesmeric and powerful: we all agreed we would be thinking about it for a long time to come.
